New admissions are made only to the Nursery class.
Subject to Vacancy
Admission to other classes depends on availability of seats and the competence of the student.
Before Admission
A test and interview will be held before admission is confirmed.
A School Open to Every Family
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School was established by the Diocese of Tura primarily for Catholic Christians, but is open to all irrespective of caste, creed and tribe. Families from across Tikrikilla block and the wider West Garo Hills district send their children here — day scholars and hostellers alike.
Admission is a conversation, not a formality. We want to understand the child, and we want you to understand what we ask of our students and of you as parents before the first day of class.

The Admission Process
From first enquiry to the first day of class — here is the path every new family follows.
Enquire at the School Office
Visit the campus at Ghaguapara or call the office to confirm that seats are available in the class you are applying for.
Collect and Submit the Form
Complete the admission form and submit it to the office along with the required documents listed below.
Appear for Test and Interview
A test and interview are held before admission. For classes above Nursery this also establishes the competence of the student.
Verification of Documents
Certificates are checked against the originals. New pupils must be introduced personally by someone who will be responsible for their regularity, conduct and fees.
Confirmation and Fee Payment
On selection, admission is confirmed at the office and fees are paid. The seat is then reserved for your child.
Report on the Opening Day
Pupils must join classes on the opening day of the session. Late arrival beyond a week is liable to forfeit the seat.
Documents Required
For Admission to Nursery
- Birth Certificate of the child
- Two recent passport size photographs
- Aadhaar card of the child and parent / guardian
- Immunisation card
- Proof of residence
For Admission to Other Classes
- The mark sheet of the last Annual Examination
- Birth Certificate
- Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended
- Good Conduct Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended
- Two recent passport size photographs and Aadhaar card
